This is a collaborative project between Sam AhKit (Deluxe Cafe) and myself. Commissioned in early 2023, the project spanned three months and involved a series of four oil paintings on circular wooden panels, each measuring 20cm diameter. The four portraits are of the owner (Sam AhKit), myself, and two of her workers (Blake the barista, and Jackson the FOH all-rounder). Additionally, business cards and round stickers were made for promoting the project and for Sam’s customers to have a free take-away. These works will be on display at Deluxe Cafe, 10 Kent Terrace, Wellington, from June until September 2023.
